Homemade Pizza

Since having Kenwood breadmaker, I can’t remember how many times I made pizza. Pizza is one of my favorite comfort food especially on weekends. Usually, I prepare for 2 pizza dough in the breadmaker on Friday night, and will just have one pizza on that night, and for the remaining pizza dough, I’ll just wrap it with clingwrap and put in the fridge, which to be baked on Saturday for lunch or dinner.

Once you have the pizza dough, you can go experimental with your pizza sauce and toppings and cheese. I love my pizza overload with toppings and cheese. I love love combination of cheeses, but India doesn’t have much variety of affordable cheeses, so I normally go for cheedar, mozzarella, and gouda. Usually, I make extra pasta sauce and use it as pizza sauce, but sometimes when laziness kicks in, a combination of ketchup, tomato puree, and chilli sauce is enough, then whatever I find in my fridge and pantry that’s feasible as pizza toppings, I’d put them on the pizza crust. Most of the time, I’d go for ham and cheese, or all-veg (onions, capsicum, tomato, olives), or sometimes a mix of them. I’ve never made a round pizza because my OTG’s baking tray is rectangular, so to maximize the space, I just follow the shape, so many pizza is always rectangular in shape, but I think it doesn’t matter as long as it taste delicious!

Recently, I got a box of good button mushroom. Mushroom is one of the classic pizza toppings, and one can’t go wrong with it. So, mushroom pizza it is!
