Homemade Pizza Since having Kenwood breadmaker, I can’t remember how many times I made pizza. Pizza is one of my favorite comfort food especially on weekends. Usually, I prepare for 2 pizza dough in the breadmaker on Friday night, and will just have one pizza on that night, and for the remaining pizza dough, I’ll just wrap it with clingwrap and put in the fridge, which to be baked on Saturday for lunch or dinner. Once you have the pizza dough, you can go experimental with your pizza sauce...

Since I bought my Kenwood breadmaker, I rarely have store-bought bread. Making bread with the breadmaker is as easy as ABC. With the basic ingredients of egg, milk, flour, sugar, salt, and yeast, I can easily have a freshly baked brioche in just more than 3 hours without using my oven and making my hands dirty. If you don’t have a breadmaker and wonder how it works, here it is: The breadmaker has a booklet of basic bread recipes, using that booklet, follow the recipe of your chosen type...

On the corner of the 6th block opposite Sony world Koramangala is the “America’s healthiest restaurant” as they claim, the Au Bon Pain (pronunced as o-bo-pe).  Au Bon Pain started in Boston and has been selling fresh baguettes and croissants since the 70’s. Finally, it has found its way to India through Bangalore.  Their coffees are cheaper than other cafe but taste really good, though their pastries and breads have the same prices in most cafes. They use Arabica coffee...

Pasta is one of my favorite ingredients. I usually use spaghetti but for a change, a fusilli or penne are great too. I occasionally cook lasagna, only when there are friends and guests around but for every day meal, a spaghetti or fusilli always comes handy and easy to cook. Last night, I had some prawns I bought last weekend, so I thought a fusilli pasta with tomato sauce would be a great dinner. I also made a garlic bread stick as a side for the pasta. As for the sauce, I just blanched the tomatoes...

I got this mini pizza base in the French Loaf last time I went there and since I love pizza, I thought of making really beautiful mini pizza.  I don’t have this big oven, just a small one, but it is enough for baking pizza. I usually make my own pizza instead of buying one. I think the last time I went to  a pizza house was one year ago. Anyways, let’s for back to  our mini pizza. It’s really easy to make. I decided to make assorted toppings mini pizza. Ingredients: 12 pieces...

UPDATE: A Disappointment from French Loaf 02/26/2011 While passing by HSR Layout the other day, I saw that a new branch of The French Loaf has opened. I stopped my car and decided to give myself some treats and also to see what they offer. When I entered, I saw that there where several tables where customers can sit and enjoy their goodies but I preferred to indulge mine at home. I ordered few of the pastries which my eyes approved.
