The little, young chefs have reached  Indian television last night and those kids are absolutely brilliant. Junior Masterchef Australia has debuted yesterday on Star World with Gary, George, and a new lady judge Anna Gare. Matt Preston will join in the next episode. The 50 kids contestants, aged 8 to 12, battled it out in the kitchen for the top 12 spots. The kids were divided in batches and on the first episode, two batches cooked. Since I bought my Kenwood breadmaker, I rarely have store-bought bread. Making bread with the breadmaker is as easy as ABC. With the basic ingredients of egg, milk, flour, sugar, salt, and yeast, I can easily have a freshly baked brioche in just more than 3 hours without using my oven and making my hands dirty. On the corner of the 6th block opposite Sony world Koramangala is the “America’s healthiest restaurant” as they claim, the Au Bon Pain (pronunced as o-bo-pe).  Au Bon Pain started in Boston and has been selling fresh baguettes and croissants since the 70′s. Finally, it has found its way to India through Bangalore.  Their coffees are cheaper than other cafe but taste really good, though their pastries and breads have the same prices in most cafes. It’s been awhile since I had homemade meatballs so I thought of making one this weekend. I prepared the meatballs and freeze them. Tonight, I fried several meatballs and toss them in the spaghetti with tomato sauce. So, Monday night is spaghetti and meatballs night

Whenever my laziness overcomes me, a trip to Delicacy in Koramangala saves me from hunger. Delicacy is a small restaurant on the 4th Block in Koramangala that especializes on Chinese, Thai, Singaporian, and Malay noodles and vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.   My favorite is the Malaysian noodles, which is a flat noodles with dark brown sauce mixed with chicken and vegetables. Last weekend was fried food night, says who? says me , and since I got squid from the market that day I decided to cook calamari and french fries. I added some beer in the batter for the calamari since I saw a left over beer in the fridge. Along the residential houses and sometimes beauty parlors and some software offices in Jakassandra Road, Koramangala, hidden a sweet treat, Mamamia! Gelato.  Driving along the road, it would go easily unnoticed, maybe the location is not really good, as it is quite hidden, however, the ice cream flavors are really yummy.   I love to try new flavors, and Mamamia! just really gives those flavors that you would normally not get in a typical ice cream shops. A friend recommended me to try momo or dumpling at Zingron. Zingron is a restaurant in Koramangala that serves Naga cuisine as well as other North-East India dishes. Zingron is one of the restaurants in Bangalore that serves pork aside from the usual fish, chicken, and mutton. I ordered two servings of momo, one was steamed and another was fried. The momos were delicious however I waited at least 30 minutes before I got my order.  The price was quite expensive compared to other momo restaurants...
